We chose the Coral Princess Circle-the-North-Pacific cruise because it offered us the opportunity to visit several countries that were still on our Bucket List: Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines. We enjoyed it despite two cancellations---Kushiro (weather-related) and Osaka (logistical issues). The itinerary would have benefited from fewer Alaskan ports, Icy Strait Point being the exception, as it is still authentic and pristine. I also enjoyed the day spent cruising in Glacier Bay. Most of the Asian ports were very interesting, Manilla being the standout. It seems surprisingly prosperous, notwithstanding all the negative media reports. Filipinos are industrious and ingenious. They are not yet inured to tourism. Their cuisine is eclectic and deliciousThe Coral Princess is well proportioned and appointed, although she's starting to look a bit worse for wear. I very much enjoyed the Hawaiian Ambassadors, Tiki Dave and Leialoha who accompanied us on the last two weeks of the voyage. They are engaging and talented. Their passion for the about Hawaiian culture is infectious. And Humberto, the port lecturer for the Asian itinerary, was equally informative and inspiring. Our accommodation was adequate. We had a standard cabin with a balcony, which I wish had been cleaned more often. The room itself was very well maintained
