I'm a 46 year old with a working wife and we do pretty well for ourselves. We live in an upscale suburb in the US and are members of a country club. I'm telling you this so, you have a frame of reference for the person writing this review. i.e. I know good stuff when I see it. I don't consider the Cheesecake Factory a five star dinning experience. Not that there's anything wrong with the CF.

I would never take a cruise with thousands of people on board. I sailed on a smaller cruise line made up of sailing ships; you know the one. It had 180 guests on board with a Rome to Nice itinerary. It was a first class cruise and I loved it and knew I would do it again.

I was a little skeptical that 600 guest aboard the Silver Muse was too many. It was not. We had a total Five Star experience from the second we landed in Rome to the second we checked bags to fly home from Venice. There were Silversea reps every step of the way. It was a completely mindless and effortless vacation. The cabin was gorgeous and spacious with a private balcony, sitting area, walk-in closet, and large bath with shower and bathtub. Our butler, Catalino, greeted us right away and was there for us all week. We told him we liked bourbon and prosecco and boom, a bottle of Maker's Mark and Prosecco were in our cabin after lunch. The ice bucket was never empty and we were always asked if there was anything he could do for us.

Cabin Review

Superior Verandah Suite

Spacious and lovely. Choose a cabin facing the shoreline. For example, if your cruising form Rome headed north to France, pick a cabin on the Starboard (right) side of the ship, so you can see the shoreline as you cruise. Also, pick one in the middle as that's the most stable part of the ship.
