We just returned from an eight day trip on the new Carnival Horizon. I will try my best to give a fair assessment of our experience, with the hope that it helps others make an informed choice about their cruise options. I’ll start by saying, this was our third cruise in the last four years. We’ve experienced Grandeur of the Seas (Royal Caribbean), Breakaway (Norwegian), and now, Carnival Horizon. This summer’s choice had to do with sailing on a new ship and location (NYC departure). My eleven year old liked the itinerary as well (Grand Turk, San Juan, and the Dominican Republic), so he had some level of influence. Below, I will share my summarized experience....

PROs:

-a very simple process of getting on and off the ship

As expected....no issues with the cabin. Clean, comfortable, and great location.
