We took the 4 day cruise Carnival cruise to Catalina and Esenada from Long Beach. Wife and I did the 3 day cruise on Royal Carribean 10 yrs back, and so we did a lot of comparisons. This time we had our daughter with us cruising for the first time.

Embarkation and disebarkation was a breeze at the port. We parked our car at the cruise terminal.

Food was very average. Our last 2 cruises on RCL had awesome quality food compared to this carnival cruise. As vegetarians, the food choices were very limited on this cruise for us - both in dining and buffet. In general, the quality of food was medicore according to us. A few good highlights for food - Masala Dosa in dining room breakfast, carnival melting Chocolate cake, decent salad bar. The fries at Guys burger was good and the burrito at cantina by poolside was good as well.

Ocean View

decently big...loved the big size window in the ocean view cabin. Clean cabin.
