Our cruise was the 7-night from Barcelona to Rome, which we chose to give us more time to explore those cities before and after the cruise. While we enjoyed our cruise on the Disney Magic, we noticed a quality decline from our previous cruise 18 months earlier (and from our Disney Wonder cruise last summer).

The food in particular was nothing special. The breakfast menu barely changed each day, if at all. Dinner service was slow and the food was very bland and overcooked. Our assistant server took a long time to get drinks out and Disney also had her trying to upsell kids' drinks in specialty cups each night, which I could see being a problem if we had young kids. She forgot to offer or deliver coffee two nights, Our main server brought out the wrong items several times. We almost skipped dinner one night and just ate chicken wings in the pub.

Bar service was very good, especially in Promenade and O'Gills and definitely in Cove Cafe.
