My wife and I had a great time on this cruise. The crew members were in good cheer, which helps a lot. Service was very good in the dining facilities--actually, pretty much all around the ship, except for at the customer service desk. Things went very slowly there, and it was a real PITA to wait there when we needed assistance. The ship was clean throughout. We heard there was a problem with the sewage line on one of the decks, but it didn't affect us. Anytime dining went smoothly for us. The dining highlight was our dinner at Sabatini's. Highly recommended for a change from the main dining rooms.
The activity highlight was the visits by the National Park rangers for glacier viewing. They gave helpful narration over the ship's PA system while we were in Glacier Bay one day and College Fjord the next. They were available on Deck 15 to answer questions and provide literature. They also gave presentations in the Princess Theater both days.
The cabin was in a very good position, kind of mid-forward, just outside the elevator bank. It was roomy, with a bathtub/shower, a sofa and coffee table in the sitting area, and a decent size balcony with two deck chairs with ottomans and a small table. Everything was clean and in good repair, and our cabin steward was very attentive and responsive. The balcony was a great spot for viewing glaciers and wildlife on our Alaska voyage.
This wasn't a port stop. It was scenic cruising through the bay, with presentations and narration by National Park rangers. The highlight of this cruise!
