First time cruisers. Cruise and Maritime “Columbus” to Baltic. May 2018

What a marvellous experience.

All our first timers uncertainties were completely dispelled by our cruise. The atmosphere on the ship was very relaxed and friendly, both passengers and staff. It was also very efficient so that we were completely relaxed. Initial embarkation and at all our eight port visits went quickly and smoothly which meant that we could enjoy all the trips ashore. Life on board was enjoyable with plenty to do and it was easy to find places we liked to be, mostly out on deck in our case. We would have preferred some more good talks on history, geography and national culture - this seems not to be a focus for this company. Our cabin was very comfortable and our steward, Gede, looked after us very well.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

Very comfortable with lots of storage space. Very good steward

Port Reviews

Rostock (Warnemunde)

Boat trip up,the river to Rostock well worth doing. Very attractive, lively walled city. Warnemünde was buzzing with holiday makers and fun to walk around

Tallinn

Our expectations were probably too high. A charming walled town but far too many of (us) tourists.

Helsinki

A lovely, vibrant city with very friendly people. Great market with excellent hand made crafts and fruit and veg. Good to walk around

Aalborg

A very rushed tour to the Viking museum. Not enough time in the town but it all seemed rather dull in comparison with other ports
