Value for the money, MSC has the other cruise lines beat hands down. With all of the promos my family of 5 was able to stay in the 2 bedroom grand suite which went with the aurea experience and included priority embarkation, unlimited classic drink package with gelato, any time dining, etc. The ship was beautiful and extremely well laid out. Even though it was full we never felt like it was. We kept wondering where everybody was. There was very little line up for the water slides at the pool. At night the jungle pool area was completely empty. The food was great. My husband order a rare prime rib and actually got rare prime rib in the restaurant! The pizza was fantastic. Yes the buffet is extremely busy in the mornings, especially port days but we always managed to find a table. The service was great on board. The entertainment was very good, although if you see every show like we did there is definitely repetition in some of the acts. The Michael Jackson show was incredible! We got a free internet surfing package which was great, although being that you are out in the middle of the ocean the service is understandably sketchy so if you absolulely need high speed, reliable service, you will be disappointed. My kids never go to the kids clubs so I can't really comment on those but they looked nice. All in all a fantastic cruise. I would absolutely sail again with MSC and am already trying to plan our next MSC cruise.
The cabin was perfect for the 5 of us with 2 separate bedrooms. More than enough space. Plenty of closet space. The balcony space was quite limited and instead of clear plexiglass for the rail it was metal with plexiglass on top and it was quite angled so if you like to sit and look out, you can't really do that. If you are okay standing to see out like we are, it's great. Incredibly peaceful and great views.
Rented a jeep and drove around. Stopped at San Gervasio which was very nice. The main strip is cute.
