Have been cruising with P&O since 2010. First cruise was on the Pacific Pearl New Years cruise out of Auckland. Amazing, but had nothing to compare it with. In saying that compared to the cruise we took on the 7th April 2018 the Pearl cruise was really really great! We have also cruised on Princess WOW what an amazing experience that was. Will be cruising with Princess in the future. I was surprised that the cost was almost the same between the two cruise lines.

What a huge dissapointment this latest cruise was. We have taken approximately 9 cruises with P&O since 2010. This was, by far the worst ever. It’s been so “dumped down” that it’s no longer a place I want to be. The food, the staff, the attitude, the little extras, all gone.

The waterfront restaurant, omg there’s a part in the menus you have to pay for if you want something a little extra! Unheard of. What are you doing P&O? The food in the waterfront was not up to scratch, wait time from the kitchen....long. The fact that we booked for 8pm and weren’t out of there till after 9.20 on most nights (we ended up going to the Pantry) never happend before. Had to shoot out of there so we could get to the Marguee to watch the show that started at 9.00 why 9.00 why not 9.30. Same with the movies on deck 12 why 9.00pm Everything overlapped like there was no thought put into anything. On wet windy nights why not play the movies in the Marquee theatre like you used to! As for the programs on the in cabin TV .... hopeless and took two days to get a TV guide so we knew what was on. I Don’t like the fact that we can no longer serve your selves at the Pantry. There were queues all over the place. Over all very dissapointing. Final straw was when we finally heard from the Captain, except we didn’t know it was the Captain as he didn’t bother to introduce himself! Read more
