We have done 3 Viking Cruises now, 2 river and 1 ocean. All three have been truly an experience to remember and all good. The ship was brand new which made it even better. The crew was very eager to make a good impression (which they did). All of the cabins have an ocean view with a veranda which make for excellent sightseeing as you enter and leave port. Not much else as most of the cruising is done at night away from shore. The cabins are roomy enough as little time is spent there since there are plenty of activities to participate in or entertainment to view. The service as always is impeccable and it always seems the staff is there just for you but they take care of everyone the same. Sitting in the Explorers Lounge on the bow or the Aquavit Terrace on the stern really allows an individual to relax and get to know your fellow cruisers or just sit and contemplate where you are and enjoy the view. This is not a family type cruise meant for young children and there is no casino or climbing wall or zip lines. It's for those that want to learn and think about their place in the world. Shore excursion are plentiful and there is at least one included in the fare each day with other optional one available. Sometimes it's hard to chose but you can;t do it all in one voyage. We are already signed up for another River Cruise in France for my 65th. Can't wait.
