Since we live in the Tampa area we were looking for a getaway type cruise to go on with our neighbors. We have been on 20 plus cruises but only one short Holland America cruise which we had enjoyed. So we thought we would give this one a try. It turned out to be one of our favorites.

The ship is one of HAL's smallest but had small but adequate facilities including a nice casino, bars and theater.

We had an ocean view cabin with an obstructed view on the lower promenade deck. It was good size for a ship cabin and actually had a bath tub. The promenade deck had an entrance near our room which enabled us to sit on deck chairs right outside our room. Read more
