Sail Date: Mar 2018

We picked this cruise to experience a new ship and try something new. We read a lot of bad review prior to sailing and decided to give it a try despite warnings from others. We did read that MSC was trying to make its mark on the American market- we found they have a long way to go if that is their goal... It seems that the real goal is to have a cruise line that Europeans are already familiar with to experience the Caribbean, not to cater to the American market.

I will begin by saying that we were on vacation- away from stresses of work and homelife- so we kept that in mind all week long. We traveled with 2 other couples that have cruised often as well. We have all sailed many times on RC and Carnival. As others have said in past reviews, if you are looking for the same experience, you will not find it.

On our trip- I would estimate that 80% of passengers we encountered were not American. We were the minority-- English was not the first language spoken.

Cabin Review

Cabin Bella

Rooms were small ( but no different than any other rooms I had experienced on other lines.. Storage- minimal. Clean. No top sheet on bed UNLESS you request this. Our cabin steward appeared tired and run down the whole trip- never got to know our names at all, but did a great job keeping our room up.
