Within a couple of hours we were in our cabin and our bags showed up shortly after. The balcony cabin was very clean and stayed that way throughout the cruise. Our cabin steward was excellent; looking after our every need. The ports of call were good choices, from the Penguin colony on the Falkland Islands, to Ushuaia, Punta Arenas. the Beagle Channel with the glaciers and fjords, and other destinations in Chile. Everywhere we went, the local folks were very friendly. The guides and drivers were very knowledgeable. Besides seeing the sites , we also learned quite a bit about the history of Argentina and Chile. Some thing that NCL should look into is their selection of on board entertainment. There were 2 bar/lounge acts that were not very good, based on that which we've experienced on the many cruises we have been on. These entertainers tried to imitate others singers/groups and failed. We tried to give them more than one attempt to listen to them. But, after a few minutes each time, we left. NCL did have a group called the BRAZILIAN BEATLES and they were very entertaining and did a good job as a tribute band. The ship's entertainment groups also did a good job with their nightly shows.
The one thing, as seniors, that will change is that we will no longer fly economy on flights over 4 hours. Arriving at our far destinations not twisted like a pretzel, will be worth the increase in air fare. We were fortunate that we booked this trip more than a year in advance, because Norwegian Cruise Line offered us a BOGO, which we couldn't refuse.
We always select a mid ship balcony cabin and were not disappointed with the selection on this ship. The steward did an excellent job throughout the cruise.
