Fourth Viking Cruise with good friends. This was the first non river cruise. Not as good as a river cruise. Fewer passengers on river cruise makes it easier to enjoy dining and other facilities. Restaurant facilities not as good as river cruise restaurants. We spent two days in Barcelona before boarding ship which was a great experience. Viking employees at hotel went above board to assist in sightseeing topics. Unfortunately, we both got sick on board and spent the third, sixth and seventh day in bed. Medical staff was excellent. Ate room service food three days and we missed out on several trips and social activities on board the ship. Scheduling extra days before ship excursion in Barcelona was excellent. Got to see a lot of the city on our own with help from Viking employees at hotel our hotel. Hotel room was excellent. Due to sickness, we only saw two groups of singers on ship which were excellent. Fighting the large crowd at lunch and breakfast was tiring but the wait staff was excellent. For a cruise, Viking is an excellent company to schedule with. I just prefer the river cruises over the ocean cruise we took.

Dear dlbrbb, We appreciate you taking the time to share your ocean Mediterranean cruise experience. We are delighted to hear that the service was excellent. We’re sorry to hear, however,...

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

Our cabin was designed excellently. Bath room facilities large. Bed very comfortable. We were located on fourth level in middle of ship. Only had one night of swaying of ship.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Only problem at Montserrat was having a snow storm hit. May have caused our sickness on rest of trip.
