This was actually a heel and toe cruise. We did the Iconic Med from Rome to Barcelona for Xmas and from Barcelona to Rome for New Years. It was a wonderful experience. Viking is the best. The service was great, the booze plentiful, and the food excellent. Viking should have bundled these two cruises as a option from the start. It was a little trick getting the same cabin for both legs since there was no way we wanted to change the cabin. The little classical music trio was marvelous. The future cruise director was great to work with. We booked two river cruise and another ocean while on board (in addition to the LA to Miami Xmas and New Year cruise we already had booked). One excursion we went on was identical to a Rhone river excursion we did a couple of years ago. It would have be nice if Viking had cross-referenced that excursion to warn Vikingphiles like ourselves. :-)
