The cruise staff were attentive and efficient. Special thanks to Colin, our cruise director and to Maria in Reception - They were always helpful and with a smile. The lecturer, Niki, was excellent. His topics were interesting and the material was well presented. Shore excursions were overpriced, but well run and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling excursions and Jenni Killam’s cooking class (including the recipes she sent to class members by email) and lunch at her Spices Cooking Studio on St. Lucia. The food was consistently excellent with considerable variety of entrées in all restaurants. The ship, while recently renovated, is older and is definitely showing its age. It did not handle the rough weather of the first night very well. The weather was quite rough down the coast of Florida. Silver Sea should retire this ship.
It would have been nice to have a little more time to shop for local crafts in the villages on our shore excursions. Sound level of music was consistently uncomfortably loud both on the ship and on the snorkel cruises.
Comfortable bed and cabin overall. Loved the big closet. Having a tub in the bathroom is, in my opinion, unnecessary. Woul much rather have a walk-in shower rather than having to climb into the tub to take a shower.
