It seemed as though every square inch was occupied. The ship was probably over-capacity with family members jamming into staterooms. Of the 27 cruises we've sailed on eleven lines, this was by far the most crowded. At times it was impossible to find a seat in the buffet area or some of the entertainment venues.
Still, the ship was in excellent condition. Not pretty or grand in style, but in good condition.
Among the positive features, the food was generally quite good. HAL seems to focus on the types of foods that Americans like to eat, and they do that well. This was some of best food we've had on a mass market line.
Very spacious, well-designed and attractive. Quiet. Big verandah with chairs and table, A true sitting area big enough for entertaining. Comfy bathroom with a tub and a separate shower, Lots of storage space. Espresso machine.
