This was our 8th cruise, 2nd on Carnival. We were giving them 1 more shot after an abysmal trip on the Carnival Freedom. The bar was set very low, and this cruise did nothing to step over the bar. The lines for food were LONG, and the majority of the food was cold. The only saving grace was Blue Iguana, which had great food, though limited options. There was also very limited dining options during off times....like after we got back from Progresso at 4:30. Nothing was open besides the Pizza Pirate and they had 200+ people in line without any pizzas ready. The ship itself leaked from the ceilings in the common rooms. They played games/activities in the lobby which was not set-up for that sort of thing. The library was constantly shut down for the chef's table. VERY limited options for things to do during the day. We enjoyed the magician and the comedians, though we had to stand for a lot of the comedy shows. The guests on the ship were quite rude and pushy....no fault of Carnival necessarily, more of "you get what you pay for". The gym was great, though, and hardly ever occupied. I do wish it was open the day of debarkation, though. We won't be sailing on Carnival again. We'll stick with NCL.
