Sail Date: Jul 2017
Cabin: Lanai Ocean-View Stateroom

This was for a cruise from Boston to Bermuda, and being a smaller ship, it docked in downtown Hamilton, a delightful spot, as you could step off the ship and be right in town. As opposed to where the big ships docked which was in Port out in the old Naval Shipyard, which is nothing but a tourist trap of shops, and not as nice.

The Veendam is an older ship and it showed, the cabin and other areas were tired, well used, and in constant turnaround. We called this the ship that was held together with duct tape. As we waited to disembark, they were making up our room for the next guest, and you got to see some of what you missed when just walking in. like the yellow stains on the comforters under the duvet covers, that one never looks in. Next time I will if there is a next time!

While the food was fine, it was not amazing, and service was fine, but by the middle of the cruise, it fell off from what it was when we started.

Cabin Review

Lanai Ocean-View Stateroom

Tired and well used, the closets were stinky the room could benefit from a good deep cleaning. The bathroom was fine and well equipped. Space was comfortable, and the ocean side balcony made it nice.

Port Reviews

Hamilton

Being able to pull into the downtown Hamilton, as opposed to the outer docking facility is the way to do it. Thankful that we were on a smaller ship, which could get into the town dock.

Boston

Easy in and out of the Black Falcon Terminal
