We are locals, living in Kissimme, so we din't go on an excursion here, but I can say as a local...there are a lot of great things to see and do in the area and if you get a chance, but sure to check out the Kennedy Space Center and stop at Molly's for seafood.

I hear there a nearby island where you can swim with the pigs. I hope to someday. As for Nassau itself, well, it's just like anyother poverty-stricken port in a 3rd world country. The people are lovely and kind, but there is the same souvenier junk being sold all over the world. I suggest taking a guided tour or going to the Atlantis unless you want to shop. The shopping is good fore sure. Ask where you can find the Bahamian Kitchen and try some real Bahamian food. I recommend the steamed fish w/sauce.
