This was our second ever cruise ( previous Arcadia) but found the Brittania a bit too big and impersonal.We had to wait nearly 2.5 hours to board at Southampton , not a good start . We later found out that a gangway had broken down , but why wasn't this mentioned when we were waitng .

The large number of passengers caused some queuing problems in St Petersburg with Russian immigration staff not being able to cope.

Staff on board were friendly and helpful , our balcony cabin on F deck was clean and comfortable but the toilet / bathroom was very small compared with the same grade cabin on the Arcadia. In fact getting in and out of the shower was a real struggle. Our Steward was great and very helpful. Read more
