Many friends suggested Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. We were not disappointed. The embarkation and disembarkation went very quickly. Oasis of the Seas needs updating but the many activities, restaurants and shows made up for any disappointments. Having three theaters--for Broadway, ice skating shows and swimming/diving performances--was a real highlight of the cruise. The entertainment was outstanding.

We took the "See and Sea" tour in St. Maartan. The hostess was a native from there and gave us great information in a very fun and entertaining way. The Sea part was a bit disappointing--not many varieties of fish. But it was fun seeing the diver feeding them. The Market place had many lovely items, but we were not given enough time to enjoy that stop.

The ship's own island of Labadee in Haiti is beautiful. There are three beaches. Unfortunately, we went to the one farthest away (near where the lunch was served). There were so many rocks I was unable to walk along the shore much less go into the rocky bottomed water--too many jagged stones. I was told later that the other two beaches are much nicer.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D4

I'm not sure which balcony--D something.

The sofa looked very old. The material of the cushions was extremely loose and faded. The pillows did not match in color or size. The mattress was thin, old and lumpy. But there was plenty of room for storage, lots of wooden hangers, a nice desk w/mirror with make-up lighting and a small table in front of the sofa. The balcony was ample and clean with two chairs and a table and a nice TV. Our toilet over-flowed on one occasion. We told our stateroom attendant and left. When we came back there was no trace of any problem.
