We chose this itinerary because it fit our available time frame and looked like a nice way to enjoy a 4 day trip from San Pedro, Los Angeles, to Victoria and Vancouver. It was beautiful the first day, May 2, in LA Harbor but once we got out to sea for Day 2 it was continuous fog until we arrive in Victoria harbor.

We thought the onboard entertainment in the Princess Theater was among the best we'd seen in our limited (5) cruises, with both a talented dance group and funny comedian. Some folks who had traveled all the way from Ft. Lauderdale on the ship said they missed having more lectures; I wondered if Princess ever considers letting cruise guests give mini-lecturettes to voluntary audiences if they are experts in a certain field? The number of presentations that advertised products turned all of us off.

We had a balcony room on Caribe Deck 10, Room 505, hoping to see some shoreline along the way but that ended soon after passing north of Ventura due to fog. Room 505 was nice because it was center ship (less rocking feeling) and also had a large wall from the room next door's balcony shielding the wind for our balcony's benefit. It was also easy access to the center ship elevators.

Average size with average tv. One ESPN channel was not working. Also it was nice to have MSNBC international to keep up when we wanted breaking news. Pillows ok, not great. Anniversary gift was a "special dessert" along with 2 balloons; Norwegian gave us a bottle of wine! Bathroom was fine and room attendant was punctual, polite, and very efficient.
