I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the brand. I have had some really great cruises on Celebrity, which is owned by Royal Caribbean. I have also cruised on Royal before. The handicap accessible room is very roomy and comfortable. I had both a walker and an electric scooter and the room was perfect size wise for these items. The bed was very comfortable. Sadly, my roommate's bed frame was broken and he suffered an injury to his back. Royal Caribbean sent him to their doctor onboard and then to the Spa for some heat and relaxation of his back. I will say that the staff were concerned about this situation and immediately replaced the frame of the bed. It is concerning that they do not regularly check the bed frames. I am sure many, many people have slept in that bed. This should be part of their routine, to check the frames in a handicap room, instead of just remaking the bed for the next customer. The other concern is that Royal Caribbean is turning into Carnival. They are trying to sell you something all the time. They now charge for Room Service! This is one of the luxuries of going on a cruise and now they charge $7.95 for each order. I could understand it if they are charging for an expensive item like wagyu beef or salmon, but for a simple sandwich, its crazy. Also, in purchasing a photo we took onboard, they no longer provide a cardboard holder. They give you the picture in a very flimsy piece of plastic and try to sell you an expensive photo holder of $34.95 to protect your picture on its way home. This is greedy on their part. That's my opinion.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Large Balcony

Cabin D1

This was a disabled cabin which is larger than an average stateroom. It was well maintained and very comfortable with plenty of storage. Our stateroom attendant, Eleanor kept our rooms clean.
