In summary, I have spent less money and enjoyed my previous 3 cruises better. For the younger at heart, "Night Life" is DEAD, it does not exist. Princess is very enjoyable and suited to the elderly that I spoke to on board. They are loyal and seem to have many Princess cruises to their name and not very familiar with other cruise lines. Staff have to sell sell and it's a bit too much at times and I feel bad for the staff.
I am 57 years old, and was joined by my husband and no children. This was my 4th cruise but a first with Princess. Previously, 2 x RCI, 1 x MSC. Two of the cruises, joined by my teenage daughters.
At Embarkation, we lined up and waited, the process took one reasonable hour. Disembarkation was quick and smooth.
Cabin is tight and squeaky. Poor layout. Two seater couch expected like other 3 cruises that I have been on. Balcony is generous in space.
Simple walk around and to the Grand Hotel. Very lovely, friendly and helpful people.
We hired a scooter and drove to Nadi and around the country side.
It was a bus drive to a pretty and small beach with lots of people off the ship.
Have visited Noumea before on RCI. We drove along the coast line stopping for coffee, disappointing. But found a hotel which was friendly and had wifi
