Just returned from my 1st cruise on Celebrity Solstice (cruised previously on P&O and RC) and overall I would say I loved it.

Our cruise departed Sydney on 1st March for South Pacific and Fiji. My husband and I, a Childfree by Choice couple in our early 40s, stayed in cabin 1657 Aqua Class.

We both thought the ship was beautiful, especially the bars and pool areas; we spent many hours enjoying the Solarium. Throughout our cruise there were 4 hours of ‘family time’ every day in the solarium ‘due to weather conditions’ – the weather was totally fine, so this meant kids could be in all 3 pools. I think kids should be restricted to 1 of the outside pools and only 1 whirlpool. They only accounted by 0.5% of the ship guests so even taking over 1/3 of the pool/spa facilities is very generous I feel.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Cabin was really good, we were lucky enough to get one with the sofa next to the balcony which is what we wanted. There wasn't enough wardrobe space and less than other lines we have been on. We had to use all available space to unpack. Bathroom has plenty of storage and nice big shower.

Mystery Island

Love Mystery Island. Just found a nice spot and spent hour swimming, sunbathing and reading.
