We wanted a cruise to take us from Buenos Aires to Rio. We also wanted a South American cruise that included warm weather, islands, swimming, and snorkeling. We really enjoyed the Brazilian islands we visited and they were all different. We did not realize that we were traveling at a time when all Argentinian children are on school break so there were more children than we expected but on a cruise ship there is plenty of room for everyone. The staff on the cruise ship were as good as ever, but seemed a little overwhelmed by the number of Spanish speaking people on the cruise. We noticed quite a few communications issues, especially in the first 10 days from BA to Rio. We always enjoy the specialty restaurants on board with our favorites being Le Bistro, Cagney's, Teppanyaki, Sushi, and Moderno. Food and service are always excellent. Some of the entertainers were the same from last year when we went south from BA so we felt we did not need to attend every show. The shows we did go to were pretty good. I was a little surprised that more entertainment was not offered in the observation lounge, but many activities were outside around the pool as the weather was so warm.
Cabin was great, and our cabin steward was excellent.
