We chose the Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean because a group with which we are affiliated decided to have a group event on this ship at this time. The organizers of the event have previously had wonderful experiences on the ship. We greatly enjoyed the multiple variations of events and activities such as karaoke, dance lessons, water sports, entertainment and the food was out of this world with outstanding service. We found that our waiters for our evening meals every day went the extra mile to provide every food that we wanted or needed. One of the participants at our table had severe dietary restrictions and the chef made delicious meals just for him every day. Our cruise activities director was an energetic, friendly and fun! We had just one experience that we thought was less than ideal but it had nothing to do with the ship! Our ship chose to have the musical CATS as the main theater entertainment and unfortunately, the musical itself did not suit itself to the population of the ship as it was a series of musical vignettes, not telling a story and the music, with the exception of one song, was not familiar to the audiences. Many audience members exited the play at intermission. The actors were outstanding in their skills but the musical was not one we would ever choose to see.

We never found any shortage of food in the Windjammer Marketplace and found that the quality of food there was outstanding and plentiful. We did not purchase a soda beverage package and we found that we did not miss it at all as there was delicious lemonade, strawberry kiwi water and Iced tea at every meal. We do not drink alcohol so that the prices of drinks was not an issue for us.

The fitness center was also outstanding. There was more than adequate number of treadmills, bicycles and elliptical machines. I never had to wait to use one of these machines. The walking track on deck five was enjoyable and you could pause now and then to gaze at the beautiful scenery and water.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

The room was not large but housed a king sized bed, a sofa and the bathroom. We found it quite satisfactory except that the sofa was not comfortable. There was adequate storage especially as we brought three very large pieces of luggage and one small one. The cabin was very clean in all respects; the bathroom was immaculate and our cabin steward made up our room twice a day.
