I have sailed HAL many times before but switched to Celebrity wanted to come back to HAL liked the ports of this cruise. We were delayed till 11:30 on departure due to airport shootings and applauded the Captain for waiting as it didn't affect our first stop. First night dinner in the dining room was pathetic, service was ok food quality was poor at best, a lot of people complained next day.as the cruise went on the second day wasn't much better and we found ourselves either eating at the lido deck or in specialty restaurants.

We had fantastic service and food quality and selection on the lido deck so we ate there 5 nights of the 12 day cruise. Pinnacle Grill service was fair at best not as good as the main dining room, plus pay extra if you wanted a 5 ounce lobster tail 10.00. how cheap, and annoying after you spend a lot to get there in the first place. the Italian pay specialty restaurant on the lido deck was awful, What a joke, again felt like we were taken advantage of. We sat at one end and the service was almost non extinct. Food quality was really bad, don't waste your money,

We did eat at the Asian restaurant Tamarind twice. The service was outstanding the food was delicious , the sushi was incredible. That was worth the 25.00 per person charge. the rest including the Pinnacle grill not value received. The ship daily activity was weak and un interesting, The cabin we had had a balcony and was adequate. the room attendants were attentive and polite. Read more
