This was a family cruise with a brother, two sisters, and a cousin plus spouses. There were eight of us. We thought we would have trouble getting seated together but the service on this cruise was excellent. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our large number. They were the most friendly I have ever encountered in a hotel or onboard a river cruise. From the room service to the bar service; they were exceptional! The maintenance of the rooms and the public areas was perfection.

My husband loves to read on the veranda and on this ship all rooms have a veranda. Although time did not allow us to attend any lectures, we did go to all the shows: from the Rat Pack, Abba, Catalan Rumba to the opera. Terrific entertainment. Our cruise director was fantastic. I'm not sure she ever slept.

One younger sister told me her favorite day was onboard alone where she took advantage of the exercise room, sauna, and pool. We each chose our own excursions as some family had been to some of the cities before. It was so much fun meeting for dinner to discuss our varied excursions. How can you beat Venice, Split, Dubrovnik, Rome, and Barcelona as destinations.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

It was such a pleasure to return to your room in the afternoon to find it immaculate with all your amenities replaced. More soap, shampoo, etc., clean towels, refrigerator and water bottles replenished. If we did run into our room service person, he was always ready to assist us (extra hangers, towels, coffee, etc). It was hot most of this trip so it was really nice having fresh towels, a robe, and slippers there after a shower.

The free WiFi was always available. We enjoyed seeing the volcano, Stromboli, go off from our veranda one night. As they say in the commercial, "Priceless."
