The best thing I can say about this cruise was the excurisions. With that being said, Our family disembarked on 8/20 with the worst case of the NoroVirus. Day 12 and two of the four of us still have mild symptoms. We tried to go to medical in the early morning of the dismemberment date but we were not allowed downstairs because the boat was already docked, so nobody knew we were up half the night being sick. One of the reasons could be because the boat was dirty. Tables are not cleaned in the Lido Buffet with sanitizing cloths, because drinks cost so much money on the boat other cruisers do not follow the rules. The fill up water bottles and person cups at filling stations and nobody stops them. The staff in the Lido buffet do not care. The food servicers do not speak English. The ice cream stations stink like a toilet and one of the stations in he back of the boat had ants crawling it. I did notify staff, but not sure if anything was done to correct it. Carnival does have cost effective down to a science. 4 stations, long lines so you don't go back for seconds. First is the cold cereal, milk, yogurt, fruit,.Then 6 hot buffet style trays which include two hot cereal, watery eggs and some sort of other egg type sandwich, French toast or pancakes and some sort of potato. The Bacon is given out two pieces at a time. No helping yourself with that. A good business man would be impressed with the cost savings. Why would you want to wait on a long line to get seconds of crappy hot food. Other cruise lines have separate area's for fruit, cold cereal and yogurts. Main dining all food was terrible. If it wasn't for Guys Burgers and the Burrito stand, I think everyone would have gone hungry. There were no midnight buffets or desert buffets, the boat was all about pushing alcohol. Alcohol was everywhere and plentiful so if you are not a drinker, this boat is not for you. The motto should be get so drunk you wont notice all the terrible food. Just pizza with two guys trying to feed the whole boat. The Casino was a joke and the Computerized Bingo is fixed. Fun staff was more like a Hotel Management Police and none of them were authentic, all seamed fake. We took an excursion to Viva Beach Club in Puerto Rico. We ordered taco's. For all of you American's who do not know what a taco is in Puerto Rico, it's an empanada. We were ridiculed and laughed at by the server and manager. They didn't even try to make it right. The manager said if you want to taco, then you go to Mexico not Puerto Rico. I tried to post this review on Carnival's Web Site but got an email back stating that my review does not meet the criteria? Whatever that means.
