We had a wonderful day in port.  We decided to walk from the ship into town.  After exploring the town of Phillipsburg and enjoying great shopping and delicious local restaurants, we took the bus over to Marigot ($2 per person).  Each side of the island is quite different, but we found the locals to be very helpful and friendly.  The shopping deals are much better in Phillipsburg (away from Front Street).  The cuisine reflects the cultural diversity of both the Dutch and French influences on the island.

St. Maarten

We only has a few hours to spend in Antigua and we did not book an excursion. Perhaps if we had, we would have enjoyed Antigua more. We found the area of St John's by the cruise ship dock to not be very friendly to cruise ship passengers. Most businesses were not open when we disembarked around 9 am. We spent a very brief time walking around before deciding to return to the ship. 



Antigua

We were only in port for a few hours so we headed to a great local Chinese Restaurant on Bay Street and Devereaux and had drinks and a wonderful meal. We walked around Nassau and enjoyed the shops before heading back to the Orchestra. 



Nassau

Our room was located on deck 10 between midship and aft on the port side.  The room was very clean and thoughtfully appointed.  We loved the view from our balcony.  It was a bit noisy when the thrusters were used during docking and departing, otherwise great.

The shows were very good and quite diverse featuring great and beautiful dancers, a talented magician, a gifted tenor and the wonderful MSC Orchestra (which also performed daily by the central staircase).We just returned from an Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard the MSC Orchestra and had a fantastic time.
