I chose this cruise as wanted to go to Turkey, Italy, and Greece. It did all 3 countries, and the Turkey stop was not where any threats were being Kusadasi. The entertainment on board was great. There was always music happening somewhere on the ship at night. The wifi on board didn;'t work at all for me, waste of money. We didn't purchase any tours from the ship due to cost, and found our own way and made friends on the ship and shared 2 trips with them. The ship left from Civitavecchia and we were told we could walk from the train station. We shared a taxi with others and so pleased we did as it was a long way into the port. At Santorini there were 4 cruise ships in and the wait to go up the gondolas was over 2 hours. We took the boat to Oia and then a bus to old town to get back down to the ship. Due to so many ships there the wait to go back was over 3 hours. We walked done the donkey track, took 30 mins and apart from the smell and slipperiness of it due to donkeys mess, it was okay
.I have cruised on P&O ships twice but liked this ship better.
Our cabin was up front above the show room but was very quiet apart from one time about 4.30 pm when the show was in practice. We went to every show so we didn't hear anything below us in the evening. Our cabin attendant did everything we needed and made funny animals from the towels.
We did our own tour from meeting others outside the gates who were looking for another couple to share a taxi tour with. Half the price. Went to TAORMINA and well worth it.
Took a taxi from outside the Port. Went to Virgin Marys house. Saw the ruins, Leather Factory, Carpet factory. Purchased leather jackets. Great shopping in the Bazzar across the road from the Port.
Shared again a taxi with 4 others to go to Amalfi coast and town. Just beautiful with a careful driver as he described himself, and with the great scenery and Pavoritti playing up loud in the car, it made a memorable trip. Also had a very short time at Pompey.
We hired Georges Taxi and had a wonderful driver who spoke great English and gave us a great tour. Even when we finished he went out of his way to show us the beach.
