Let me start by saying my wife and I love to cruise. Best adventure in the world....

Breaking down the good and the bad for this cruise.

Location: Port of Charleston - 3 hour drive vs 8 hours was thought to be beneficial. However, the port is NOT well ran or organized. We arrived at 11:30am and waited to park for almost an hour before we loaded the bus for a 1/2mile ride we were told was mandatory. I recommend Faster to the Fun always, and it does help here. Leaving the port was just as mind boggling as the bus driver dropped us and our bags in a completely different parking lot, and wouldn't take us any farther. So we, and 30 other began the trek. Cruise director Benjamin told everyone on embarkation day that the port was 'humble' and carnival was trying to improve on it, but the historical society / community has blocked any improvement from happening. Very unfortunate

Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay

Very very relaxing!!!

Nassau

Junkanoo beach was not crowded, thankfully there was only one ship in the port. otherwise it would have been a mad house

Charleston

Charleston doesn't seem to want a cruise terminal in their city
