Magellan Cruise Review by joekarleic

- Destination: British Isles & Western Europe
Iceland is expensive so the cruise offered a relatively inexpensive way to travel, enjoying good food and good company as well as a good crew who were friendly, polite and accommodating.
We never felt pressured into buying drinks ( they had a range of packages for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks but also left you if you declined) similarly they did not oversell any trips or on board activities (of which there was a variety of options) - this has not always been our experience on other ships. We also felt the on board prices and tipping rate were very good.
Facilities especially inside cabin was spacious and very clean. The shower was superb- lots of hot water and good pressure. Toilet did fail to flush on one day but this was rectified without fuss.
Food and service in restaurants good ( only soup in evening was not always hot) but this aside we had access to hot drinks (free) from waking to late evening and we could go either to be served or help ourselves to food across the day so we didn't go hungry.
We enjoyed having days at sea and felt very safe in the hands of the Captain who saw this as his priority -we did have a rough day and we felt that the way the crew informed and supported passengers was excellent.
So stop worrying go with CMV and see the places they travel too at a price that won't break the bank
