Sail Date: Oct 2015

I read the reviews, so I took a chance. Called the company and the best rate was a little over 600 for our sailing, so I took it. It seemed a little high for a 2 day ocean view, but the reviews were pretty solid. We have sailed on several different lines. This is an old ship by the way. I was told by the guy in sales that you can't hear the theater through the ceiling on deck 6 forward. It's like an echo dome. The doors and ceiling are paper thin. You can hear every conversation in the other rooms. Then I get the people who want to play the tv full blast and yell over it until 2 something.

As far as things to do on the ship, drinking would be the only thing going. Their deal for 65 (74.50) after mandatory 15 percent tip, is a total rip off unless your drinking martinis (which are 10 bucks). Just order drink specials, bigger glasses and they are like a buck more. The best special is the large "margarita" glass for 22.95. Its huge and comes with a lid. Plus you get to take it home. 2 people could split it. The base free upper dinning room (dress code) it's not enforced by the way, food was fair at best. They served me a sirloin that you couldn't even cut through. I reordered the beef wellington mr, and it came out well done. I just left, and of course the buffet was closed by then.

Most of the crew speak little to no English. So be aware when ordering or speaking. You have to repeat your self and say things several times. I actually just gave up sometimes. I ordered drinks twice and got pina coladas. Not what i ordered. They have the worlds smallest elevator. Best to take the stairs. The casino was so old and out dated, It was insane, they had machines that I havent seen in 10 years. Only a couple of tables, which were over flowing with people. I wrote that I wanted someone to call e on the review, but of course they didn't. The port of freeport, is no where near as nice as nassau, I would go NCL if your looking for a 2 day bahamas.

Cabin Review

Cabin ocean view

It's not bad inside, but anyone in the hall, next door, or above you penetrates and is loud. The theater does come through the ceiling. The only good thing was the porter that took care of us, he was nice.
