Sail Date: Feb 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary Round Australia but have to admit that the Diamond failed, in our opinion, to measure up to other Princess ships that we have sailed on.

We were sorely disappointed that there wasn't an International Cafe which we enjoyed so much on other ships. With a ship that large, it is nice to be able to have a light lunch midship and not have to travel to the stern for every meal, especially if one has physical challenges

It was disappointing to see people admitted to the dining room in the evening that were not dressed "smart casual" as laid out in Princess' description. We paid for extra luggage to be appropriately attired and refused to be seated with people in blue jeans and untucked golf shirts, many of which needed a good wash and press. The maitre d told us that he doesn't make the rules and that as long as one was in long pants, they would be admitted to the dining room except on formal nights. I guess that means that sweat pants would be acceptable too.

The mini suite suits our needs. We usually are on month long cruises and the extra room is welcome. The full bathroom and the large closet are great.
