Well, it was simply fantastic. The embarkation process went really fast and check in was a breeze. We were traveling with five newbies and second timer who had no idea what she could remember. We got on board about noon and weren't able to get to our rooms until 1:30. We ate lunch at the Panorama Grill and then got a quick lay of the ship. We booked my mom's Chichen Itza excursion and my sister's cooking class in Cozumel. It all went really fast. Some booked some spa treatments. Hint: Wait until late in cruise to book them, they go down in price. Our room was amazingly comfortable with three women in each of the two rooms we booked. The bunk was very comfortable and quite roomy. The bathroom was very small but it didn't hold us back from dressing and makeup. The ship looks a little worn but they work very hard at keeping it clean and in good repair. The pathways were a bit confusing but we managed to get around easily enough. We dined in the Wind Star dining with Renato as our head waiter. What a wonderful guy! He really pampered us.

We had some rough weather but it didn't affect me. This room might not be a great location if you tend toward seasickness, although our one seasick mate thought her bed and room most comfortable. She was best when she stayed midship. There is so much to write but in short the trip was a great first cruise. I like the schedule but I would rather try another ship next time.

Disembarkation went more smoothly than I had expected. We had had a rough stormy night the night before so we were late in docking back in Galveston. By the time we got on the road, it was 12:45 so this is one cruise I would book a late flight for.
