Sail Date: May 2008

This was our first cruise, and our first kid-free vacation in eight years. It had been a year in the planning and we were beyond excited when it was time to embark. The process was easy. Having a Verandah balcony cabin gave us VIP boarding status, so we sailed through all of the lines.

Our steward introduced herself to us promptly, and then we explored the ship. We were all impressed with the salad bar at the Panorama Grill and had a great lunch. A couple of hours later we sat on a back deck, ate pizza, and watched Galveston disappear.

The public areas of the ship do look a little dated, but it was all clean. Our room was very nice with with beautiful colors, nice bedding, and clean.
