We are Platinum members with princess and have sailed a total of 25+ cruises.

Being British, my wife and I flew from London HRW via British Airways on a Princess package arriving in Miami a day before the cruise departure. The flight was uneventful and unmemorable being completely full. We were met by a Princess rep and our luggage taken care of. After a lengthy wait for a coach, together with another 40 people we were transported to the Intercontinental hotel. We were very pleased with the accommodation here although we did consider the price of food to be expensive. There are very few facilities at this hotel and very little else to do here. For breakfast the following morning we visited the adjacent McDonalds.

At noon on 15th March, around 150 British guests boarded the coaches for the 70 minute journey to Fort Lauderdale. We arrived around 1.30pm, and the booking in procedure was very simple, and after the obligatory 'Welcome aboard photo' we were settled into our stateroom on Aloha Deck 608. This was a balcony cabin just aft of midships. We found the cabin to be quite satisfactory with ample storage space. The bed was configured to a queen and was quite comfortable. It is indeed a fact that the shower cubicle is 'comfortable' - and if you do drop the soap you will have to squat to pick it up rather than bending over! The room steward was excellent is all respects.
