This was my 10th cruise and my 4th cruise on the Ecstasy. I have always given this ship and crew a very high rating. Compared to cruises with other lines Carnival still gets my vote. However, this cruise was a great disappointment.
We drove in from Fort Worth on the morning of the cruise. We were traveling with a party of 10 adults. The Ecstasy was nowhere in site. She was outside of the channel due to fog which of course was not Carnival's fault. The ship made it in about 5. I think we departed about 9. It was a very fast turn around and the crew and passengers were all exhausted
This was our first balcony cabin on the Ecstasy. It was a Penthouse suite. I was very disappointed in the cabin. The carpet was stained and although there were many, many drawers in the cabin only half of them would open. The balcony windows were filthy. The toilet wouldn't flush, and the couch belonged in a college dorm.
