My husband and I took our 2 year old daughter along with her Nana and Grandma on a 4 night adventure on March 5, 2007. This was the second Disney Cruise for my daughter, husband, and for myself, and the third overall cruise for my husband and I. We went on the first Disney cruise at the end of February in 2006 to celebrate our daughter's first birthday. We had such a fantastic time on that trip that we decided our mothers should enjoy the experience with our daughter to celebrate her second birthday.
You have probably read many, many things about the Disney ships. What we would love to share with you, along with the basic information, are the moments we haven't read too much about anywhere. The ones which, we feel, place Disney in a category all by itself.
The fun began in the cruise terminal. We missed a photo op with Goofy, so we waited in line for the next character to come out. We were the first in the line for the new character. Pluto came bouncing out from a doorway and our daughter went nuts! She ran toward Pluto. Pluto held her hand as he walked and skipped with her to the photo shoot and played with her for a little bit. If this was any indication of how our trip was going to go this time, then we couldn't wait to get on board! The magic we felt on our first trip was still there and we were all ready to get started!
