I booked this cruise in October 2013.. My brother-in-law was celebrating his 50th birthday on New's Years Day and wanted to do something special for his birthday... I booked two cabins. One was for me and my husband and the other one was for my son and his family...total of 7 travelers... (3 of them children-7-5-and 2).Along with the 7 that I booked for, we had another 7 in our party. We were put in the cabins underneath the galley....The galley is open 24/7 and it was impossible to sleep in these two rooms. This was a Holiday Cruise (that was very expensive). and they had no extra cabins and could not move us into another cabin.. We spent 7 nights on this ship with very little sleep. We were going to cancel the cruise due to my husband having back issues (that is now scheduled to have surgery) and he didn't want to because this was a family vacation, so we got a wheelchair and went on this cruise.. So not only was he miserable from the pain, now he was dealing with no sleep. The noise coming from the galley was so loud on several occasions it woke the 2 year up. The food was not that good and the wait in the dining room was way too long. I have cruised with carnival several times, but the other 6 in my party had not and I was upset that this was their experience the first time on Carnival. We did get off the ship in Grand Turk and Half-Moon Cay, but we were too tired to get off in Nassau. I have cruise a total of 20 times. I have been on RCCL, Princess, Holland America and Premier and I have never had an experience like I had with this cruise. I can not believe that this company would take anybody's money and put them in a cabin that you are not able to get any sleep for 7 nights.
