We were on the Quantum from January 11 - 23rd for a 12 night cruise. Check in was a breeze, walked into the terminal and within 10 feet of me was a guy in his light blue RCCL shirt with his iPad. Took about 5 minutes and then went through security into the large waiting area near the stairs that led up to the ship. Had to wait about 15 minutes here and then we were on board. Simple. Walked around the ship, ate in the Windjammer and then went to our cabin at 1:30 and our luggage was at our door. Very nice! We ate dinner in all 4 main dining rooms plus Chop's, Chef's Table, Jamie Oliver's and Wonderland. Our favorite was The Grande where the service and food was outstanding. Best course we had was the wild mushroom risotto appetizer in the Grande. I got it all 4 times we ate there. Chop's was delicious and the Chef's Table was too. The sommelier at Chef's Table was funny, friendly and very knowledgable. The lobster course was delicious, cooked perfectly ( not overcooked ), tender and full of flavor. Wonderland was good but what was outstanding was the British waiter we had, Oliver, who was just hysterical. He had us laughing the entire time. BTW - our longest wait at any restaurant was about 1 minute. We pre-booked everything and had zero problems. We walked up, gave the host our cabin number and in we went. Also, the service was slow in only one restaurant, American Icon, otherwise it was spot on. We had drinks each night in either the concierge lounge on deck 12 ( back of the ship) or the Diamond lounge on deck 4. Both were very crowded but the waiters were hustling and we met several very nice couples. Afterwards we went to Vintages and had a glass of wine. Beautiful bar. Two70 Cafe was our favorite for breakfast and lunch along with the Windjammer. I loved the roast beef on the roll with horseradish and mustard - delicious. Two70 was very unique. The view of the ship's wake is just beautiful and the roboscreens were cool. We enjoyed the daily shows on these screens featured every hour on the half hour. The abstract one was my favorite. We saw Starwater in two70 and it was just spectacular. We also went to the virtual concert featuring Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns. Nice. We danced in two70 but did most of our dancing in the Music Hall, where they have live bands. We rode NorthStar 3 times and it was very enjoyable. There will be lines there but it is worth the wait. While at sea the NorthStar goes up and then out to one side and then down. In port it is only allowed to go straight up. Loved the bumper cars, loads of fun. iFly was cool to watch but didn't do it, same with the Flowrider. As you can tell we loved the ship. This was our 36th cruise, most on RCCL (20), but also a few on Celebrity (8), 3 on Regent, 1 on Disney, 1 Holland America and 3 on Princess.

Great cruise
