We were on the Quantum from January 11 - 23rd for a 12 night cruise. Check in was a breeze, walked into the terminal and within 10 feet of me was a guy in his light blue RCCL shirt with his iPad. Took about 5 minutes and then went through security into the large waiting area near the stairs that led up to the ship. Had to wait about 15 minutes here and then we were on board. Simple. Walked around the ship, ate in the Windjammer and then went to our cabin at 1:30 and our luggage was at our door. Very nice!
We ate dinner in all 4 main dining rooms plus Chop's, Chef's Table, Jamie Oliver's and Wonderland. Our favorite was The Grande where the service and food was outstanding. Best course we had was the wild mushroom risotto appetizer in the Grande. I got it all 4 times we ate there. Chop's was delicious and the Chef's Table was too. The sommelier at Chef's Table was funny, friendly and very knowledgable. The lobster course was delicious, cooked perfectly ( not overcooked ), tender and full of flavor. Wonderland was good but what was outstanding was the British waiter we had, Oliver, who was just hysterical. He had us laughing the entire time. BTW - our longest wait at any restaurant was about 1 minute. We pre-booked everything and had zero problems. We walked up, gave the host our cabin number and in we went. Also, the service was slow in only one restaurant, American Icon, otherwise it was spot on.
We had drinks each night in either the concierge lounge on deck 12 ( back of the ship) or the Diamond lounge on deck 4. Both were very crowded but the waiters were hustling and we met several very nice couples. Afterwards we went to Vintages and had a glass of wine. Beautiful bar.
Very comfortable cabin, lots of storage space and large shower.
