This ship is amazing! My husband and I have been on seven cruises all with RC. We've enjoyed all of our cruises but prefer the newer ships and activities. Quantum is our favorite for many reasons, to name a few: by far best Jr. Suite, phenomenal staff, ports of call, shows (Mama Mia, Starwater and Sonic Oddessay) and activities (ifly, bumper cars, solarium and the Northstar). Getting onboard took a little longer than we expected due to the amount of guest who didn't completed the set sail pass electronically at home prior. Once we got on board the ship has that wow factor. We were able to go to our room where one of our sea pass cards was waiting. The other along with our wow bands were waiting in our room. The wow bands are nice for going to the pool but we still carried around our sea pass card for everything else. We tried all the complementary restaurants which were fantastic. There are still a few kinks for RC to work out regarding the dynamic dining but it has some fantastic potential. Our favorite dining experiences were at Costal Kitchen, Silk and American Icon Grill. We also went to Wonderland which is a must. The food, dining room, and staff were so unique. I loved that our waiter ordered food for us because the menus is so unique which really made the experience all the more special. There were six ports of call on our twelve night cruise we did a shore excursion at each port (island tours, swimming with dolphins and a cave tour). All of our tours went smoothly and were coordinated well via RC. We had one excursion that got us back to the ship after it was supposed to leave, and the ship waited for our return. The shows onboard are all a must see. I recommend just like for dinner make reservation plan before you get on board the ship. It will make your cruise go smoothly like ours did and you don't have to worry about it once onboard. Sine we both have iPhones having the royal iQ app made it easy to know what we were doing when everyday. I look forward to the entire cruise compass being available this way. Disembarkation was easy but we did the early departure and carried all of our luggage off because we had a ten hour drive home. Overall we love the ship and can't wait to book Anthem once we can book in October 2016 (we have a RC cruise booked to Dubai in January 2016). Once Ovation of the Seas is available we will cruise on her too. Something I really appreciate about RC and especially on this cruise (note it's only Quantum's 10th sailing) is that they take constructive criticism very seriously and we saw some changes made based in guest feedback while aboard. The most frustrating thing for us was some of the older guest who complained extensively because this ship is so different. It is a smart ship that is heavily technology driven. It's also one of the most Eco friendly ships. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

Cabin Review

Cabin 7240
Best jr suite ever!! We LOVE the rain shower and separate shower/toilet room. There is plenty of space/storage for clothing. The balcony is a good size, the patio furniture is the best and most comfortable we've ever had. The lounge area is a good size and we like that there is not a huge coffee table that would get in the way on other ships. We were a little disappointed with the room service menu, some of it is still free but if you want eggs you have to pay. Where our room is its very quite, and if you depart from Cape Liberty you can see the Statue of Liberty from the balcony.
