Sail Date: Jan 2004

This was our second cruise experience in 5 years (first one on the Disney Magic in 1998 for only 3 days and with an 8 year old child). Our expectations were high based on the overall price of the trip and, fortunately, they were exceeded.

Our first direct experience with the ship was arriving at port and being boarded ("embarkation"). We felt like royalty from this moment until disembarkation. Champagne, friendly faces, efficient service and a wonderful cabin stewardess made it a very warm welcome, indeed.

The cabin itself was fantastic. We'd opted to spend a bit more money and go for a balcony and I'll never do without again! Talk about a room with a view! One day, I didn't even leave the cabin until after noon - the ultimate in relaxation. The cabin was serviced twice daily and always with extra nice touches left behind (I particularly enjoyed the chocolates!). Our cabin stewardess was always around with a friendly "hello" and a smile as well as answering all of our crazy questions ("Where do I plug this thing in?").
