I have cruised many times with MSC, and strongly feed that their standards have slipped badly. The food used to be a highlight of the cruise, but now there seems to be no variety, and it looks like they are on a cost cutting campaign.. The quality and variety of the cold meats and cheese on the buffet are limited and inferior to say the least.. None of the shellfish we ordered had been cleaned or deveined... there seemed to be no care or attention to detail, which we have been accustomed to on previous cruises.

Also the service offered in bars was sub standard, and to the point of being rude at times.. I got the feeling that they are much shorter staffed than they have been in the past.. , and we had to wait for long periods of time before being served. We even went up to the bar ourselves, and the barman would ignore us, and eventually, tell us to go to another bar if we dont like the service...

The entertainment (shows were good), but deck entertainment, and sail More away party was non existent, or poor!

MSC seems to have become complacent, as they are the only cruise line operating out of South African ports, and they have no competition. They are taking the South African public for granted. Bring on some competition!! Give them a run for their money!! Maybe they will then try harder. Less
