This was my 7th cruise on the Fascination. It is a better value that just to go to the beach or anywhere. This cruise was less than $200 each and yes it was an inside cabin. Who cares. This was our 7th cruise in the last 12 months, including two TransAtlantics with 27 days on the NCL Star and 28 days on the CCL Sunshine. The Fascination had better food, better service and the wait staff in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous. The stateroom is much larger than the NCL Star and the bathroom on the Fascination is accessible. Not handicapped accessible, I mean you just had room to move around and complete your business.

The outdoor areas around the Lido Buffett is also what makes the Fascination a great ship. On many other newer ships, the outdoor areas have disappeared and been taken over by the pool deck area. I enjoyed sitting on the deck on the sides of the Lido Buffett and on the two wings in the back of the dinning area.

The food was some of the best we have had on a any cruise ship. It was definitely better than the other two cruises on the Fascination we took last year. Overall, we had a great experience. My only wish is that we could take Jamie 'Dee' with us as Cruise Director on all our cruises.

Cabin Review

We had an outside cabin on the NCL Star for a Transatlantic cruise last April. This cabin gave us more room. We have cruised on MSC, Princess, NCL, Holland, RCL, and Celebrity and Carnival has always had the cabins with the most room. Even though we had an inside cabin, we had a desk, two chairs and plenty of room to move about. The cabin was able to sleep 4 so we did have two pull down bunks, but I moved the bed about 3 inches away from the false window, and I was able to move around the bed without problems, even in the dark
