My husband and I were a bit hesitant to book this cruise, but it was such a deal that we took a chance...sure glad we did! When we decided to book this cruise, there was a lot of uncertainty and a little apprehension. We finally just decided to go for it, and we're glad we made that decision. Not only was it a great deal, we were really impressed by what Carnival had to offer! Both my husband and I have been on several cruises prior, on different lines, and this was one of our favorite trips! The first day was a bit nasty (weather-wise) so we took some time to get to know the ship. We loved that the lido deck had a retractable roof! The buffet lines were long, but that died down a bit as the days went on and everyone got to know their favorite places. We were really impressed with the meals and all of the options. We enjoyed our late night pizzas! ;) The dining room was great and we enjoyed all of our meals there. We were both very impressed with the food. We had anytime dining and never had a problem. We did have one night in the Pinnacle which we were both impressed with. They had supreme service and offered a wide variety of meals. It is a bit small, so reservations are a must! We spent at least two hours there. We took advantage of the Cheers program which worked well for us. We are night owls and we definitely made use of the package. I recommend it if you are a night owl or enjoy higher quality cocktails. Many of the drinks that are covered under this program are top shelf, which we took full advantage of!

As far as entertainment, I have got to say Carnival offered the best so far! We loved the comedy club and had such a great time there. We also enjoyed the pool activities, the casino, the nightclub, piano bar, sports bar and a nightcap at the martini bar. The pool deck parties were slow at first, but once everyone let loose a little they were a lot of fun! Malcolm "Woo Hoo" is hands down the best cruise director we have ever had! He was hilarious! He really made the cruise!

The itinerary on this cruise was okay. We honestly enjoyed the private island the most. Half Moon Cay was beautiful and had a lot to offer. We enjoyed the DJ on the beach, the food, and the beautiful water. It was our favorite day. The only let down is that the Cheers program does not cover the day on the private island which we were a little confused by as the staff and drinks were all the same as on the ship. Other than that, we absolutely loved this private island. Grand Turk was very pretty, but if you didn't get a spot at Margaritaville, you had to walk down the beach some. We were okay with that and walked to a more secluded beach that had a mini beach bar. The water was nice, but lots of coral which felt weird! You had to be really careful! It was actually pretty funny trying to navigate into the water on the coral. I thought it was fun! Nassau was okay for shopping and we spent lunch at Senor Frogs which was a good time! Fun atmosphere and pretty decent food! The rest of the day we spent back on the ship enjoying the quiet pools. We even tried the water-slide and played a game on the putting course while the ship was quiet!

Cabin Review

Our room was pretty big and we were really impressed! The balcony was great. We actually saw dolphins and even a humpback whale sighting on our way back into port. It was breathtaking to see! The service was great as well and we enjoyed our towel animals. The only weird thing we experienced in the room is that they never left hand soap in the bathroom. We were a little perplexed by that. We also had a crazy balcony neighbor who threatened to call security on us. We were really surprised by that one. It was about 11:00 p.m. one night and we were just sitting outside on our balcony. We were just talking and were not loud at all. This crazy lady came out and just started screaming at us threatening us and telling us to go inside. It was a bit shocking, but we laughed it off!
