Traveled with children

We (couple) sailed with two children and a senior, with a mix of cruising experience. It was totally delightful. Impeccable service and helpful crew - there when you needed them but not hovering. Superb food. Gracious decor with everything in ship-shape. A great mix of activities, especially at night from a jazz band to comedy to classical string quartet to Broadway tunes and piano bars. Passengers were all friendly too. Holland was very accommodating for kids, even in the late night shows.

Holland sails into Hamilton, which is more convenient for getting around the island relative to the dockyards. You save time that way. Also, the boat docks for 4 days, rather than 3 days for the ships at the dockyards.

Leaving from NY is convenient and gorgeous - to see the skyline and Statue of Liberty when you leave in the evening, then again at sunrise when you return is worth a small fortune. Stand on the top deck when you go under the Verrazano bridge for a thrill.

Cabin Review

Standard Interior Stateroom

Quiet, sufficient space, great hot water in shower, perfect sink area, lots of storage room - really and truly, comfortable beds, perfect pillows, nice decor.
